A walk in September, a walk to remember...

Under the gleaming sun, down Hillcrest lane,

two lovers walk, holding hands they refrain.

Their walk was synchronised, an unspoken connection,

under the calm facade was their undying affection.

Each step they took, they gave each other a smitten look.

Though their mouths denied, their actions spoke.

They wore the same shirt, as if it were some divine intervention,

to their classmates behind they paid no attention.

Her look was innocent, his face jubilant,

the air was so thick with their mutual concern.

As she giggled, he laughed along,

their feelings more intense... more strong.

Alas the walk had to end, a bridge she had to ascend,

though they may have parted, their love transcends...
